The police in Macedonia is rather seen as operating as means for protection of the interests or particular groups than as a service of the citizens.

The image of the police in Bosnia and Herzegovina is divided – while the opinion of some is quite positive, others list corruption, lack of politeness as things that first come to mind.

The integrity of the police in Montenegro has been compromised. The problems of bribery and misuse of office do not stand alone; there is also excessive use of force.
