Police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina are transparent inasmuch it does not compromise their work or interfere with investigations.

There is still a belief in Serbia that the police is "male profession" and that women are not able to physically or emotionally cope with work demands.

It is crucial to avoid gender blindness in human resources management within the Serbian Ministry of Interior, so as to develop a police organizational culture that fosters gender equality.
