The citizens and media in Kosovo perceive the Kosovo Police as a sufficiently transparent institution, but it’s important to provide more statistics on various policing issues.

The Kosovo Police is ranked by citizens as the second least corrupted domestic institutions in Kosovo. Almost 1/3 of the respondents shared the perception that the Kosovo Police is corrupted.

The Kosovo Police still does not possess the ‘integrity plan’ which would guide the most fundamental principles on enhancing accountability, impartiality and honesty. Politicization is the most sensitive issue.
